The existence of human
sacrifices has been put through the interpretation
of a scene
that one recovers on several
documents found in Abydos: two figures,
knelt and placed on the same plan, facing each other,
one pushing a knife
in the body
of the other. Behind this group, a figurestands up, carrying a stick (the King?). (BMR in "Le sacrifice humain..", 2005). Above this scene
one can see by the plants of Lower and Upper Egypt and the sign to receive. This scene creates a
relation between the union of the Double Country
and the human sacrifice. It will be found later on labels of
other kings. The restart of the excavations of his tomb and
notably of the subsidiary tombs, by the German archaeologists put on the day human bones belonging for most to young men died to the surroundings of 20 years, what drives to think
that they have
been sacrificed.
